Artsakh-Lori:economic-informative bridges (13.06.2012)
On June 12, Vallex Group Companies organized a tour “Artsakh-Lori: economic-informative bridges” which was attended by a number of mass media representatives. First station was Base Metals cjsc’s mining complex nearby Drmbon villiage of Martakert region in Artsakh. In the administrative building of the company a discussion was organized relating the role and importance of mining industry in Artsakh’s economy. Activities and economic development projects realized by Vallex Group in Artsakh and Armenia were presented to the participants of the tour by the Chairman of Vallex Group Companies Valeri Mejlumyan and Vice- president Arthur Mkrtumyan. After the discussion, participants visited the main units of Drmbon mining complex: enrichment plant, new built workshop of additional recovery of minerals from tails previously piled and formed from current activities, the newly constructed and water proofed by German production polyethylene membrane and other places. Afterwards, the group arrived to Stepanakert, where a meeting with the President of Artsakh Republic Bako Sahakyan took place. Issues concerning social-economic life and development prospects of Artsakh Republic were discussed. The next place of visit was the newly built “Vallex Garden Hotel” hotel in Stepanakert, which is to be exploited in upcoming months. From Stepanakert the group left for Lori marz the mining complex being built in nearby territory of Teghout village. The tour participants accompanied with Valeri Mejlumyan and other managers of Teghout cjsc visited the territories of the plant, tailing and wastes economies, open pit and other objects being built. After the tour around the territories of the plant in the administrative building of Teghout cjsc a discussion was organized on Teghout mining plant construction and copper-molybdenum deposit exploitation project. During the discussion, participants were presented the importance of the project in the economic life of Armenia and got answers to the questions they were interested in.
